How much do your consulting services cost?
I provide these valuable services at no cost to you. Franchisors pay my fees — they respect the process I follow and recognize the quality of the candidates I refer. Whether you take advantage of my expertise or explore a company on your own, the franchise fee you will eventually pay is the same. Why not let me do the research for you?
how much does it cost to buy a franchise?
The cost of entry varies greatly according to the industry you choose and the brand you select. Mobile and home-based businesses tend to be less expensive than retail brick-and-mortar concepts. Looking at the entire market, entry costs range from approximately $25,000 to upwards of $5 million. However, it takes a total investment of $75,000 to $350,000 to get most franchise businesses up and running.
What are MY financing options?
A variety of sources can be tapped for franchise financing. Your options may include:
Cash
Home equity line of credit
Bank loan
Small Business Administration (SBA) loan
Equity financing (bringing on investors)
Retirement accounts ("Rollover as Business Startups" or ROBS)
Franchisor financing
Loans from partners/friends/family
Credit cards
Keep in mind that most business loans will require you to come up with 20-30% of the total investment in cash. For example, when purchasing a light retail franchise with an all-in investment of $250,000, you might bring $50,000-$75,000 in cash to the table, and finance the balance of $150,000-$175,000.
What's the best franchise?
The “best” franchise is the one that’s right for you. Franchise opportunities are not “one size fits all.” Make sure you take the time to do a thorough investigation, beginning with a self-assessment that defines exactly what your goals are and what you’re looking for in franchise ownership. A qualified franchise consultant will help you make the best use of your time and guide you through what can be an overwhelming field of business opportunities. Helping you find your perfect fit is what I do best.
What traits make a franchisee successful?
Strong leadership and communication skills set the stage for franchisee success. And successful franchisees are willing and able to embrace a proven system in order to replicate the success of the business. They recognize that adhering to the model and trusting the system is the most prosperous path for a franchise owner. Successful franchisees think in terms of the “big picture.” They find motivation for day-to-day activities by keeping their eyes on the prize. They’re also proactive—willing to take the lead and bring in business. Sitting back and expecting customers to come to them is not in their nature.
as a franchise owner, will I need to work full-time?
Not necessarily. Some franchise models are designed to accommodate part-time ownership. Known as "semi-absentee" opportunities, these franchises require only a part-time commitment (typically 10 hours per week) after the initial ramp-up period concludes. Your manager and employees will run the day-to-day operations while you provide executive leadership, coordinate administrative functions, and establish long-term strategy.

“After looking into several franchise opportunities, my head was swimming. Being a salesman for 40 years, I know that slowing down the customer to find out what’s important to them yields the best results. Well, Alex slowed me down and discovered what was important to me, my family, and our future. Now that we have made our investment, I can truly say that Alex’s sincere interest in me and my family has made a complex decision a very peaceful decision and we could not have done it without Alex’s approach.
